There is something about The Smiths’ sound that is viscerally familiar (I think it is because it strikes your nervous system in the same place as fear, and the feeling of fear is as instinctual as it gets…I believe the memory – of fear –  is carried in our DNA) – the first time I heard The Smiths, I felt like I’d been listening to it my whole life.

Also, I love how involved the song titles are. You’re not going to run into that problem where there are several songs with the same name (Creep by Radiohead, Stone Temple Pilots or TLC?).
